The Standing Men is a sculptural peace study exhibit by Janus.
The work ranges from large wood and ceramic installations to small raku works.
It draws upon a philosophically, positive reclamation of male based mythical images.
Janus relays, “I am exhausted of the disembodied watching of male based brutality
that I have witnessed in and outside of the media”.
This possibly controversial exhibition is a daring move for the opening exhibit of the new Paul Ellia gallery.
Janus is planning a brief performance on the opening night of the galla which welcomes anyone
who wishes to participate to stand together in a call of silent challenge to all men
to proudly strive to be a Standing Man, because “we see you".
